Ighalo will be paid £100k by United while his parent club Shanghai Shenhua will pay the rest of his £300k-a-week wage Manchester United announced the signing of Nigerian forward Odion Ighalo for a six-month deal from Chinese league side Shanghai Shenhua as the 30-year-old becomes first Nigerian to sign and don the United jersey. Ighalo completed a dream sensational EPL return after agreeing to terms with the Old Trafford outfits albeit without no option of purchase at the end of the season. United were in desperate need of a striker who can fill the void for injured Marcus Rashford and Ighalo emerged on their transfer consideration list.
